Administration
School Hours
The school grounds are not supervised until 8.00a.m. Children should not arrive before this time. Classwork begins at 8.50 am and finishes at 2.45 pm. No child is allowed to remain in the school grounds after 3.00 pm unless they are bus students waiting to be picked up or are taking part in an organised practice controlled by a teacher.
The School Office
Our School Secretary Elaine Kane is in the school office from 8.30am until noon, Monday to Friday. after this time please leave a message. Messages are checked before the end of school each day.
Wet Days
The school does not close early when the weather is wet.
Clothing/Jewellery
Children often lose their belongings, please help us by labeling all clothing with a permanent marker. At the end of the term all lost property is put out on display, unclaimed clothing is given to a worthy cause. Call at the school office if your child has lost anything, we might be able to help. Please see Miss Schoombee for access to the lost property box.
Children are discouraged from wearing jewellery.
Parking
Parents and caregivers are asked to take care when dropping off and picking up children. They are not to use the parking area inside the gate for this. There is only one lane of parking in the curved area and this is up near the footpath. This area is for one way traffic so that vehicles can drive through. Please do not park in the school house drive.
Cyclists
Children riding to school by bike must wear a helmet to and from the school gate. Pedestrians must walk on the right side of the road and cross over Pollen Street by the footpath opposite the gate to the school house. After school there are Traffic wardens on duty and children are expected to use them when crossing.
Lunches
Children can order lunches at school. Lunches are ordered from 8.30 a.m. A variety is available and we have worked hard to provide a healthier choice menu.
Please see lunch menu and prices page for more information
Stationery
All stationery is available at the school office for purchasing. Teachers will send a request home stating what is needed and if money is required. Our prices are very competitive. For new pupils, teachers will issue them with a stationery list. A $10 credit system has been introduced at the office for your child to utilise. Please see our school secretary, Elaine, to arrange this.
Stationery Lists will be available as a download at the start of the new school years.
