Education Outside The Classroom
It is our policy to foster EOTC, as education outside the classroom offers our children real life experiences in learning how to learn. We visit local areas of interest such as the local beach, interschool sports days, cross country runs, marae visits and various industries each year.
School camps, for year 3 up, vary each year to enable our children to gain broad life experiences. Camps have included going to Auckland, Kiwi Ranch, Mt Ruapehu, Blue Lakes, Turangi, Mt Maunganui, Pikowai, Sapphire Springs, Te Papa Museum and Waitomo. We continue to have excellent parental support for our teachers on these camps.
